It is made from tree's but it doesn't come flowing from the tree's like we can go and pick it off from the top of the tree like people thing. That is why people say that. But personally I know what you mean Money Comes from tree's since money is paper and paper comes from tree's. People are never stupid, They are just mis-informed. Not everybody is a know it all.

Money doesnt grow on trees..it is mainly used by parents to tell to their children not to waste money because it is not easy for them to earn money....this is an expression to teach the children to respect money...sometimes it is said in anger too...when children demand for things which parents cant afford or dont want to buy for children...usually it can used for teaching children the value of hard earned money or it can be an expression of anger or letting ur children it is NO buy...

The saying " Money doesn't grow on trees" refers to money being wasted. So money is a precious thing and shouldn't be wasted.

Well actually it doesnt; people say it as a figure of speech. They are just trying to say that money doesn't just come falling out of the sky (another figure of speech) or that you cant keep on using/asking for money constantly. They are not trying to get all scientific about it
