It sounds like cystic acne which usually won't "pop" and if they do the pain will buckle your knees and the problem only compounds. Try warm washcloth or tea bag, they might bring them to a head, then use two q tips on either side to squeeze. You can also try to relieve the pain and inflammation with a crushed aspirin made into a paste with a little water. Try not to pick alot at your face. It really does make it worse.

I know what you mean. I have cystic acne and Proactiv did not work. It might work for you so don't mark it off the "to try" list. After years of having acne I found out I have PCOS which is a female condition that sometimes causes acne.
My advice is to go to an OBGYN and ask about PCOS and try to get to a dermatologist. Good luck!

ok well i have had acne problems all throught out my teen years now and i have purchased proactive and it really worked also when you are shopping for creams and other acne medication make sure that there is a high percentage of benzoyl peroxide. A good face cream would be clean and clear's persa-gel 10 maximum strength. As long as you always wash you face and apply this cream you can say good bye to your acne as well as i did.
