I know this is a touchy subject for some, but I need to ask. All beliefs welcome.

I am completely for assisted suicide for the terminally ill. If someone is so sick that thier quality of life is so bad that death is a release, so be it! If suicide is used as a political statement ( such as hunger strikes and monks setting themselves on fire) I find that equally acceptable even rightious. But if someone is going to kill themselves because they can't pay thier bills, or they are unhappy in thier marriage, I think that is cowardly... these are things that can be changed, declare bankruptcy, get a divorce... dont kill yourself! If you are depressed, see a specialist, there are plenty of mood moderating meds available!

Well, I don't believe suicide is ever an option, because it's a broken contract with God. That said, I can certainly understand why some people may be driven to it. Someone in the midst of deep depression, or suffering terribly from an incurable disease. But still, there are ways to get help if that person can think straight enough to do it, or hopefully someone will step up and help this person through the hard times. If this is a cry for help from you or someone you know, I'm a good listener. I can be emailed through my profile page.

Suicide is considered an acceptable option when someone chooses it. If you don't even own yourself, how are you free? The illegality of suicide in the United States is testament to religious infiltration in the government. For those who say suicide is selfish, consider that it is equally as selfish to force people to continue existing because you personally would like them here.

Also, for the person who said, "It won't end the person's problems".. please explain exactly which problems you're talking about that affect one when dead. If you're dead, you are not conscious, and thus have no problems.

the command is thou shall not murder and suicide is murder of self. I believe it is a hearts cry for a new life really and Jesus does give us new life when we accept him, not only a new life but a new spirit and a new heart just like God promised in Ezekiel 36:26 he is the only one who can make us whole, and when his spirit is alive in us we have a peace that we can not even understand. He is so awesome. I hope you are not thinking of taking your life, but if you are seek spiritual help because that is a spiritual attack.

My dear friend , it is never an option .
time of our death is in the hands of God . don't pley the role of god by ending your life . never think in this . even if you think life is too dark and no hope for you , never think in this . however remember that jesus comes at the last moment to help you , so stick in your faith and never surrender and believe in God and in yourself and then you can be a strong person and beat the weakness and the Devils ideas of suicide .

To the one dying, it is the answer to all of their problems, it romances them until that's all they think of. To the ones left behind, it is the most painful haunting that never never goes away. Nevermind religion, it is never exceptable to do that your family. You give them a lifelong burden.

Suicide is a choice, not a great one, but it is a choice, so its acceptable when ever the person chooses to do so.

I believe that if you aren't in your right mind- i.e. mental illness, then you won't be held accountable for something like that. Although, I'm very glad I'm not the one that has to do the judging. At least I don't have that responsibility.. whewww.. :)

Its not an acceptable opinion at anytime. It wont end the persons problems either. It will only add to them.
