Trinidad is the island which is the most cosmopolitan, but if you need rest on nice beaches go to Tobago. Trinidad's beaches aren't the best at all.

Tobago has better reef and pretty beaches ,but the whole island is beautiful. My husband is from Trinidad.

Everyone has their own tastes. Split your holiday and go to both and then decide. I think it will make a more interesting vacation.
