this summer one of my close friends who was like a brother to me, and my friend's older sister who was his fiancee and was pregnant got in a car crash. he died, and so did the unborn baby boy who was due in a week. me, my friend, and her sister (the mother/fiancee) want to get tattoos in memory of him and the baby. we don't want anything too big or dramatic, but something very symbolic. me and my friend are also 16 and her sister is 18, so we want something young looking too. does anyone have any ideas for a design/ location for the tattoos?
thank you.<3

My brother does a lot of these tattoos on people. I have "the blue rose of heaven"on my wrist,in memory of my mother and script writing. The favorite ones are names in script and wording in Latin. Also, "yesterday,today,forever"...... Why not type into some tattoo sites to get a better idea? A simple little bluebird is also nice,on the hand, wrist, ankle, wherever. I'm truly sorry to learn of your loss. It was a real tragedy, but they're all together now.

I think it's a nice gesture for the mom (only), an angel would be good, in memory of the ones she lost. As for you guys, your 16, you will have to explain this tattoo for the rest of your life.... other things you can do to honor the memory like: (be there for your friend when she gets the tattoo, hold her hand, let her talk , cry whatever she needs) tell her it's more suitable for her only, since it was her child and fiance Peace to all, I know losing someone blows big time, to say the least!

Actually the design and the locations are entirely up to you. Maybe work around something that he liked a hobby or something you all did together. We cannot tell you what to get or even an idea we did not know your friend. I a sorry for your loss, but look deep within you and you'll come up with a great memorial tattoo.

First off, I am so sorry for your loss. My husband is currently serving his second deployment in Iraq. As for a memorial tattoo, I think its a wonderful idea but here is what I recommend. Maybe take a picture, but go into a tattoo shop and talk to the artist about what you want to get, and between the two of you, you can design just what you want.

My 14 year old nephew died on Christmas day 2 years ago. My sister was devastated. She got a small tattoo of his face on her forarm. It's beautiful and looks just like he did. Perhaps his name and if the baby had a name and the date they died?
Good Luck

The NAME of each inside intersecting or connected hearts or stars. You don't know the birthdate of the baby. Go for low on your back shoulder. No one will see it unless you want them to. I do not believe you will regret it, although please take at least six months before you do it - and REALLY think it through.
I'm a 49 y.o. Prosecutor and I have two - one for my Dad (now deceased) - the 8th Air Force symbol with his dates - my son's is the clan badge of his middle name (Cameron of Erracht). His initials are underneath it.
PLEASE think long and hard.
I'm sorry for your loss...

You can get a small angel on your shoulder or you can get a small cross with their names or something like that. It's nice that you want o do that. Not very many people think like that.
