BY FAR THE BEST THING TO DO IS TO HAVE IT BIOPSIED AND EVALUATED BY A PATHOLOGIST.
TO DO THIS, SEE A DENTIST FOR DEFINITIVE PEACE OF MIND.

Typically, any oral lesion is considered a "problem" if it lasts more than 10-14 days.
Cancer TENDS to be defined by: ulceration, irregular borders, asymmetric patter or color.... but you do't know for sure unless you get a biopsy. These are reasonably simple and not too expensive - well worth the peace of mind!
In case it IS traumatic in origin, try rinsing 2x/day w/ warm salt water.
What is kind of impressive, is how GOOD this case history is, even tho' the questioner throws in a "like" every couple words, which initially confused me.
Good luck!

From the color and size, it is very unlikely that it is a cancer. I wouldn't worry too much. If it gets bigger over a period of a month or two and hasn't gone away by then, then maybe see a dentist for a biopsy only because the underside of the tongue is a very common location for oral cancer. It is probably just a varicosity (a collection of blood vessels under the epithelium).

If it does not go away within one week you should see a doctor, or a dentist. It does not mean that it is cancer, but some people do get cancer of the mouth, although it does not hurt when they have it...KECK

If its painful it probably not cancer. Pain with cancer does not usually occur until much later. Watch it for a week or two and if it changes at all see the doctor.

it could possibly be from second hand smoke in the casino she works in... she should go get it checked asap.. its probly nothing really to be worried about.. and it could be removed with a simple surgery
