That's the middle-ground belief that there may be a god and there might not be a god and all religions have a possible truth to it, and they might not.

Like many other religions there are many different types of agnostics. So as far as beliefs go it's personal thing. What they have in common is that there are possibilities. A religion cannot prove it's God, gods, or goddesses exist. Nor can atheist prove they don't exist. Someone who is agnostic can sway toward a religion or atheism but ultimately their possibilities are still open.
Agnostic myself I believe there is possibly a higher power. I think all religions are connected in the fact that they worship the same higher power just under different names. One thing I look highly to in my beliefs is nature. Nature is not good or bad it's just a balance. So to me there is no right or wrongs in religion only personal beliefs. There is also no wrong in being atheist it's just another persons belief to me. I accept it along with all the other religions. That doesn't mean there is no good or bad in beliefs or in the world but basically what is one without the other?

A perfect example of Agnostic are....Jedies!
I know this is tough, but bare with me. An Agnostic acknowledges that there is a " Force " out there but don't subscribe to any given faith. It's like, " God " with out " Church ". Yes, poor analogy, but work with me here. If you follow the Jedi rational in the Starwars movies, that's a pretty good example of agnostics. A bit overstated perhaps, but good.

Agnostics have respect for other people believes and faiths but do not get involved inarguments about "the truth".
Let us say agnostic do not use their time in religion matters, Either they have decided they are not interested in them or they have decided they can not really understand that subject mater.

Wow, you've gotten some really bad answers to this. Check out this link. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Agnostic
An agnostic has to do with the word "gnosis" which means "knowledge". And agnostic means that you think it's impossible to KNOW whether or not a god exists.

Being agnostic is basically having no religion. Their philosophy is, "there's now way we can ever know [if there is a God]." It's different from being atheist, where you believe there is no God. Agnosticism is the more logical of the two, in my opinion. It's impossible to know there isn't a God, just as it's impossible to know there is.

An agnostic is someone who disclaims any knowledge of God or of anything but material phenomena. In other words they only believe in what they can physically see and touch.

A logical person.
Ok, most of you are really confused, so I will fill you in on Agnosticism.
Agnostics can have belief in a higher power or not, that is irrelevant to Agnosticism, which in itself is the realization that the argument is fruitless at this time. We can see that no religion out now is of a supreme being, but many also have beliefs that there could be a supreme being, but not how organized religion paints him out to be. Usually Agnostics know even more about religion than Atheists.

An agnostic has one other characteristic besides not believing in God because He can't be proven or disproven. They also are unable or unwilling to take a leap of faith.
