My 2nd grade daughter just told me she has to dress up like a book character for school TOMORROW! Any fun, quick, easy ideas are appreciated. Thanks!

the teacher from brown bear, brown bear? pull her hair up into a bun, use some fake glasses (or punch out the lenses from an old pair of cheapo sunglasses) and dress "teacher-ish".

Im not sure if you are already making the costume or not but a Pochahontas costume is super easy.
Brown tshirt big enough to fit like a dress, fringe the ends of the sleeves by cutting a 3 inch cut every 1 inch around both sleeves. Cut hem off bottom of shirt and repeat fringe process. Tie hem of shirt around waist for belt and put hair in braids. If you have some beads or something like that for necklaces.

How about Junie B. Jones. She would wear a dress, some glasses, messed up hair. Kids love her.
Angelina Ballerina: a tutu and mouse ears, draw on whiskers with an eyebrow pencil
do she have red clothes.......Clifford is another favorite. Just dress her in red and make ears out of socks.
