Annie's song. His first wife and his first love. She was hoping to have a child but there were problems. I met him in San Francisco and being pregnant myself I understood her sadness and why he wanted to tell her he loved her. Sorry to go on so but I really loved his music.

My wife's dad is a pilot (not commercial airline...small private plane) and he once flew John Denver to a concert. He said he was one of the most easy-going, nicest people he had ever met. My wife is bummed that she didn't get to meet him, because that was one of the things she most wanted to do. One day...in another way...
