I worked at Starbucks for a year, about the latter half of the year I worked there I developed carpal tunnel syndrome. I quit working in August, and went back in October. Now my hands and wrists hurt so bad, especially because I am on bar a lot more often at this new store. I'm doing things like carrying heavy floor mats, carrying milk jugs back and forth, mopping, etc.
When I first went to my regular doctor, who had me hold my hands together similar to praying, to see if I felt numbness or tingling, I did. Now when I try that, I don't feel any numbness. I was reading online that if you don't have numbness then it's probably not carpal tunnel. Is there a condition possibly similar to carpal tunnel syndrome that would cause wrist and hand pain? Or is it possible the numbness was only an early symptom, and has gone away?
I am going back to the doctor next week, but I wanted to see if anyone had any other possibilities I could ask her about.

Any repetitive movements can cause the symptoms of Carpal Tunnel. You can wear wrist braces that will help some, but eventually you will need surgery. I also found out after my surgery that is can come back. Best of luck to you.

You may want to consider; one of the carpal bones is not sitting properly and needs to be reduced... can be quite painful and restrict the motion of the wrist... Don't forget there will be some swelling taking place and be a factor in the generalized pain of the hands.

You may want to check with a doctor of chiropractic before submitting to surgery. Can be a very simple procedure.

I understand that you could have a thyroid problem or simply sleep with your wrists tucked under your chin.
