You have to completely strip the polish, wash the outside of the boot with saddle soap with a soft bristle brush, Then you spray in inside of the boot with Lysol, Put in a Odor eater foot pad, Finally when you are NOT wearing them you put a cedar shoe tree. That will help with the odor, and absorb the moisture of wearing them.

Air the boots by removing the insoles and getiing the the boots wide open by loosening alll the laces. Place it under the sun if your place is a tropical country like mine. Most of the bacterias will be killed by the UV rays and thus preventing odor. It works for me while I am in the army, but remember to rotate betweeen at least 2-3 pair of boots to allow the boots to dry up. If you want apply foot powder on the insides of the boots, preferably antiseptic or anti-bacteria.

Odor eaters helps a lot. But you could also re-sole them by professional boot shops, but if that isn't an option, then you could prolly go buy some more. Also, if you have a hair dryer the heat will kill moisture, and immediately Odor-Eater that boot to get those little crevices.

The only way to make them stop smelling is to put a close pin on your nose, and on the noses of anyone in the room with you. With some things it's a heck of a lot easier to ignore the problem then to try and fix it..This is one of those cases.

i suggest buying another pair of boots more appropriate for construction. my husband's boots don't smell as bad as the socks he rips off his feet everyday. maybe try better socks, you're feet may be sweating more from the socks in the boots.

try baking powder when they are dried out. foot powder is essentially baking powder anyway, and you'll save some $$$.
