I was a Catholic, I reverted to Islam about 7 months ago. What made me revert to this faith is its simplicity and logic in governing the human life. Islam is not merely a religion but also a comprehensive way of life. It guides mankind not just in spiritual affairs but also in worldly affairs because this world is seen as a preparation for us to enter the everlasting hereafter, so Islam is the path of salvation and way of life that ensures us a safe place in our final destination in life.

Islam is a faith that promotes moderation among its followers. Moderation here means a balance in living the worldly life and in striving for the life of the hereafter by spiritually worshipping God. The act of worship in Islam is not confined to the five daily prayers but covers our other daily activities. Even acts such as eating and smiling to others, is considered a form of worship because it contributes to our own well being and also to the community around us. Islam denounces those who live a lavish, luxurious life and also those who practice monasticism, devoting their life to spiritual worship only because these acts are not in accordance with the moderation promoted by Islam.

It saddens me that nowadays, Islam is viewed as a religion which promotes violence and terrorism when in fact it is not. The truth is actually the opposite, Islam is a religion that promotes peace. The word 'islam' itself has two meanings, one of it being 'peace', and the other meaning 'submission'. So in essence, Islam is a religion where people obtain peace by submitting his/her will to the Almighty God.

This act of submission is actually a very intrinsic human nature. Humans are born with the nature to submit to God. Therefore Islam believes that every child is born a Muslim (a person who profess Islam as his/her religion) regardless of what religion his/her parents are. It is their parents who changes the childs religion as he/she grows up (if the parents are non-Muslims).

So, in Islam, every child is born pure and free of sins and guilt. Which in stark difference with Catholicism which believes that in Adam all have sinned which means that a child is born with the burden of sin which he/she did not commit. Islam believes that God forgave Adam of all his sins when Adam repented but Christianity in general believes that God did not forgave Adam but instead propagated Adam's sin to the whole of mankind. So based on this two differing beliefs, its is clear that Islam not only promotes peace but also forgiveness in its teaching. No matter how much we have sinned, as long as we repented sincerely to God, we will be forgiven. And plus in Islam, there is no need for us to carry the burden of sin of others. Everyone is responsible for his/her own actions.

But the main reason I reverted to Islam is because it is a religion in which I get to know who my Creator is. Islam believes in the single, indivisible, unity of God. God is described as an Almighty being possessing the most beautiful names and the most noble of qualities as revealed in the Holy Qur'an. Islam truly is the ultimate monotheistic faith. This is different with Catholicism and Christianity in general which claims to be monotheistic but teaches Trinity as a unquestionable religious doctrine. The concept of Trinity is actually very vague. It is never mentioned in the Bible which the canonical scripture of Christians. And also, Jesus, from his words in the Bible, never claimed to be God. So an in-depth study, analysis and comparison of just the basis of Islam and Catholicism or Christianity, I discovered and later decided that Islam is the only way to live my life and to attain salvation.

I believe in the Holy Trinity ever since I was a lot younger, but I did not have any understanding, wisdom, discernment nor I knew God's true nature in those times. My conversion now to a child of God was based on the renewal of my mind and the regeneration of the Holy Spirit within me.

I cannot call this a conversion to another religion. In fact my personal relationship with God freed me from religion and what it stands for.

I'm a Socialist person by nature, and I couldn't deal with the fact that Catholicism denigrates women, gay people, etc. Plus I think I'm a rational person and don't just believe what I'm told, I like to research things and with all the inconsistencies I found in religion, along with the divisive nature of religion I could no longer handle it, so as soon as I was old enough to think for myself I realised I was a staunch Atheist and have never turned back.

I never actually did so. I was raised in a nominally Christian household, but I had discovered by the age of 8 that the bible could not be reconciled with scientific findings, and since the science was obviously good, the bible had to go. So now I'm an agnostic.

Because I let someone tell me when I should have read myself. I went from being a "Christian" to a True believer of the Word of God. And in finding out who I really am physically. So if you believe in God and are not phiscal Israel you must become spiritual Israel.

Rom 9:4 Who are Israelites; to whom [pertaineth] the adoption, and the glory, and the covenants, and the giving of the law, and the service [of God], and the promises;

When I was a child I believed that there is a God, simply because I trusted my school teachers as I believed they couldn't lie to me.

In high school I started to study Satanism and the Occult and i have not turned back.

I was sick of being told that there was no proof of this God, that you have to blindly follow.

If I want to be blind, I'll poke myself in the eye, thank you.

the respond is easy... Islam is organic monotheism. it describes God (Allaah) as all-powerful, suited and in simple terms. the element of islam is to fulfill your duty and worship Allaah. that's a faith that places the concentration on a worshippers relationship to his Lord. It thoroughly rejects any association of the different fake gods with Allaah. many people say that the middle of religions is compassion and love and treating your fellow guy so and so, yet even that comes from no longer putting adequate stress on your function as a creature in this existence, people project extra approximately how they handle others and not how they fulfill the splendid of Allaah by way of fact the Lord of lords, you're actually not born without purpose and so which you're able to stay in accordance to God's rules. extra stress must be positioned on God, by way of fact whether you handle them nicely you do it by way of fact Allaah needs you to.

I was Catholic, now I am spiritual, because God is spirit and wants a one on one relationship with every single person, religion is an evil spirit because it justifies everyone's behaviour and keeps them away from the truth, which is Jesus Christ our Lord and saviour.

I had unanswered questions about christianity, and i do not agree with the bible's views on women - they should not cut their hair, they should not have positions of leadership in the church, they are supposed to come 2nd to men as leaders of their households. I mean excuse the h3ll out of me but how can you tell a woman that she has to work 40 hours a week and let you decide how to spend her money???

I just decided to become agnostic.
