Father Morrisey wakes up one beautiful Sunday morning and decides to bunk off church and play golf instead. He convinces another vicar of his illness and gets him to delivery the sermon, then goes off to the course, praying he won't meet anyone from his congregation. On the first tee, he sees that he has the whole course to himself.
Result!
Meanwhile, up in Heaven, St. Peter turns to God and says: "You're not going to let a man of the cloth get away with this?" God looks down at Father Morrisey just as he tees off. The ball flies 420 yards, bounces once, then rolls straight into the hole. "And why on earth did you let him get a hole in one?"
The Lord smiles. "Who is he ever going to tell?" he says.

Be sure your sins will find you out fidgety.
It was competition day at the local golf club and the retired Colonel found himself paired up with the Bishop.
They set off and it wasn't long before the Colonel forgot who he was playing with and on missing a short putt exclaimed,"Bugger,I missed!"
The Bishop shook his head reproachfully.
A little later, the same happened again, and the Colonel missed an easy putt.
"Bugger,I missed!" he shouted loudly,at which point the Bishop was forced to tell him that the Almighty would not be pleased with his language and that something dreadful might happen to him.But almost immediately on the next hole theColonel missed his drive and was so incensed he shouted and swore for a good half minute.
All of a sudden the skies opened, there was a terrible clap of thunder, and lightening struck the Bishop dead.
After a short pause a voice was heard from above,
"Bugger,I missed!"
