Really need a hair change?

Question

I am 18 years old gal,have a shoulder lengh dark brown hair,round face, fair skin,hazel eyes....and I want to dye my hair (first time). Which color (funky or not) do you recommend?
I wanna change!
Also,any good salons in NYC or LA for hair dye? (and their web sites)

Try going a little darker. Dark hair seems to be really in trend now and it would really bring out your hazel eyes.

I'm not sure about any salons because I live in Orlando, but I do think that highlights are the best answer. On dark brown hair, blonde and caramel highlights bring definition and depth to your hair color, and when done by a skilled hairdresser, it can really be eye-catching.
When you have just a solid color, it makes your hair look a little more dull.
But this is just my opinion. ;)

I think that light brown highlights would be cute. I personally don't like carmel/blonde highlights with dark brown hair cause it seriously looks fakey. Something just a bit lighter than your own hair.

I wouldn't make a really big change on your hair color all at once. Maybe a lighter brown, or just highlights.

i agrre with Rose S. But u already have dark hair. and it DARK brown hair. so i think u should stick with ur natural beauty.
