It is where you underwear would lie if she wore them. Any Ideas?

It sounds like what they call a "fatty cyst". That's where the body is growing and your daughter is putting on weight and sometimes there are just places where there's a lump of fat and it protrudes from the skin. Most kids get them during puberty, but it's nothing uncommon to get them at any age.

She will have to be seen by a doctor though. They always remove things like that so they can check if it's benign or actually a cancerous lump.

I would take her to have her checked out.My daughter just turned 6 and last year I found a lump on her neck,,talk about freakin out,,anyway I took her in to get her checked out and the doc said it was nothing and some kids just have lump on thier lymphnodes on the neck that are bigger than others and till this day she still has that lump but nothing wrong,Good luck and I know what you'r going through.

Sounds like it could be a hernia. They are pretty common in babies, but can sometimes become painful. Definitely contact her doctor just to be on the safe side. But if it's soft and not rock hard, I wouldn't panic.

Could be an inguinal hernia. To be safe, get it checked.

could be a boil or a sist. I would take her to her doctor and get a professional opinion on this one. its not normal.. get her in soon.

take her to the doctors, could be a swollen lymph node, or could be something more serious, have it checked out.

Take her to her pediatrician. It may very well be a hernia.
