i was using proactive for about 2 years and it worked really well...and then all of a sudden it just stopped working these past couple months...i changed to clean n clear scrub and it works great but i just dont get why proactive didn't help anymore...has anyone had the same outcome?

after you use a certain product for awhile, your skin gets used to it, and it loses the effects, therefore you have to find a different product to use for it to work. You have to change to different products every once in awhile.

Your skin probably just got immune to the active ingredients and kind of 'over rode' them - that's why you started breaking out again.....OH and also, you're skin PH changes over time and now that you're a little older, it's different - so the ProActive has different effects.

I used Proactive and it was too strong. It would burn my face and make me itch. I used Acne Free (the cheaper version of Proactive) and my faced cleared up. It was $18 at Wal-Mart.

That was really wierd...as I was reading your question, a pop-up for proactive came on the screen with jessica simpson..
