i have applied for citizenship using n400 and so far have gotten no response. i tried to check the status of my case online and the receipt number does not work, called inmigration and they have no clue. what should i do? any ideas?

The case status thingie doesn't work so well. I find it's easier to check the processing times for the service center you sent your N400 to (that link is on the same page). If it is past that date you need to be writing to them to chase up. I hope you sent the forms by a method that allows you to verify that they received it

After I applied for citizenship 2 weeks, I got the receipt, and 1 more week, I received a letter for fingerprint . How long you applied for that? If you already receive a receipt letter, you can go to your local office ans ask for your case. I believe the case status only be available after your fingerprint.

Present your documents so that the files will be verified. Do not call through telephone or communicate online. Personal appearance is better.

How long ago did you send the application in?They do take a really long time. They have different categories of priority, depends where you are on that.
