Does anyone know of anything at home that might make me feel better? I fight myself to sleep. I dont want to do anything in or out of the house. I dont want to get out of bed. I dont want to play my games, that i love to play. I dont even want to get on here very often, and i love to answer questions and try to help people on here. And I dont want to talk to a doctor about it because they/he will never agree with me about what is wrong. I want a solution but i want to know what is wrong before i even think about going.

Hi, I know exactly what you're going through. I'm battling depression too, and have had the same symptoms you're describing. I can understand your reluctance to go to your doctor; my former primary doctor didn't want to treat me for depression either. There is a supplement called St. John's Wort that you could buy over the counter, and I've been told it does help. Also, it would probably do you some good to talk to someone. If you'd like to talk to me, I'm a caring listener. My email address is love2hugu2003@yahoo.com.
Sending you a hug.

I'm sorry you are having problems with depression if that is what you think is wrong. Depression is nothing to be ashamed of. It is treatable and can be controled with medication.
I work in the mental health field and 1 in 5 suffer from some type of mental disorder. I see a lot of people that where once suffering as you, turn things around and become happy productive people.
Talk with your doctor and they will help you with the best treatment you may need. They might send you to a different doctor that treats depression to help you get some relief. Some tests are usually preformed to find out what is going on. They will ask you many questions about family history and what is going on with you.
Lots of people take medications yet, that doesn't mean that have to tell other people they are taking meds. Start with your doctor and please seek help. Depression can and does get worse at times if untreated. Do take care of yourself. Good luck and peace be with you.

As someone who has been seriously depressed in the past and who has spoken with many different therapists, what I'd like to say is, really concentrate on your health. Make sure there are healthy things to eat in the house. Drink lots of water. Force yourself to exercise, even if it sounds like a disgusting idea. Force yourself to call up a friend and ask about their week, month, day. Force yourself to pay attention to what they say. All these things have helped me greatly, in addition to what the first commenter said. Pray incessantly, unendingly. If you don't feel that you get relief the first 5 times, pray again. Beg for "the peace of God that excels all thought..." (Philippians 4:7). Force yourself to smile, even if it feels fake. Even force yourself to laugh out loud for sixty seconds at a time. This will tell your brain to produce serotonin. It really makes a big difference! I promise. Also, do not isolate yourself (Proverbs 18:1). If none of your friends is available to talk or go somewhere with you, go to the mall.
I hope you get some relief!

if you don't want to go to a medical doctor, make an appointment with a phyciatrist. They will listen and try to help you. They can help you decide is there are things you can do to help yourself or if you might benefit from some medical help (antidepressants, etc.). I know it's a big step to take, but find someone you're comfortable with and talk to them. It helps soooooo much.

I would go to a doctor if I was you because you might be able to get on some medication that will help you. My husband has anxiety/depression problems and he was prescribed some things that really helped him and now he does way better and we get along better too.

Exercise and fresh air, lots of h2o, eat well and have a positive attitude. It takes time but do all of that for 3 weeks and you'll be a new person.
