The earthly treasures are money and possessions. The Heavenly treasures are the rewards believers will receive at the "Bema" judgment of Christ. The Bible doesn't specify what those are although many people have speculated. Jesus tells one parable where the people who are faithful servants are given rule over cities. There are different crowns written about like the crown of righteousness but they all seem to refer to eternal life and right standing with God. We who are faithful will find out one day.

2 Corinthians 5:10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat (bema) of Christ, so that each one may receive what is due for what he has done in the body, whether good or evil.

The treasures are what you do for God and his kingdom
Saving the lost, be a soul winner that is wise
You will be rewarded for your good works
You will receive a crown of Righteousness, if you are Righteous
Help those in need
Store up all the things you can do for God
If you store up riches, you cannot take them with you to Heaven
Only what is done for Christ will last
If you love him your heart will be on the things of God
You will have much riches in Heaven
If your heart is on things of this earth, you will not store up much for the Kingdom
Help to encourage all that you can
One scripture says pulling them out of the fire, that are ready for destruction.
Helping your parents, you will reap what you sow in this life and the life to come

Do not care too much about your possessions here on earth. Instead believe in all your heart about Jesus. Store your "treasures" in your heart and then you will be rich in Heaven. Treasures in your heart meaning your faith. :-)

Earthly treasures -- like houses, land, jewelry, position, fame. Those things are temporal --they only last for awhile. But the treasures we store up in heaven, the good deeds, the kind spirit, the gentleness, peacefullness, joy, love, etc. --- those things we will get rewards for in heaven. The Bible says that those who get their rewards here on earth will not get them in heaven. I would rather have an award from God than from someone here on earth. The rich man received his reward here on earth and in the afterlife, he was in torment. Lazarus was a pitiful, sick beggar here on earth, and in the afterlife, he lay in the bosom of God.

The only treasure that you have is the momentum of your soul.

Follow the golden rule to your personal heaven...

If you treat others the way you wish to be treated, the next world will be filled with people who treasure the same ideas.

The treasures that are being talked about are money, clothes, a nice house, a nice car (or two or sometimes more if affordable), jewelry, CDs, shoes, etc. Anything that is, essentially, worthless in the end when it comes to the day of judgment.

It means spiritual things. Accept Christ's gift of everlasting life. Invest in souls: witness to others and lead them to Christ. Do what God wants you to (you get rewards in heaven for that). In this way, you'll have rewards in heaven, and the reward of heaven to begin with!

If you "store up treasures" on earth, what's the point? Why be wealthy and have everything when you'll eventually die and it will all mean nothing.

That's what this passage is saying.

Treasures are spiritual gifts as well as material gifts. Spiritual gifts are those given to you by the holy spirit and so one should use it to God's glory. Whatever you think, say and do in this lifetime will determine your destination in life. If you are guided by the Holy Spirit then satan will not come into your heart and deceive and steal your inheritance which God has promised you when he comes to be with us.

This scripture reminds us of earthly vs. spiritual treasure. Earthly treasure is property, belongings, money. That Earthly treasure can be hoarded, or can be used to lessen suffering on earth - creating heavenly treasure (for as you do to the least of these you do it to me).
