The only myths in the Bible is where the author of some of the books speak about Marduk, or Baal, or Beelzebub and any other pagan idol. As for pride.... yea it's there like it is in all of the human race, but so are the lessons that teach what the downfalls are to this sin. Most of the human race don't teach what happens to the proud and vain. At least God made sure his children put in the lessons to avoid the pitfalls of pride.
