If you arch your lower back a lot, you can count on chronic lower back pain later. I work out a LOT, and I find that I have to keep my back from arching so I can maintain good form during exercises so I don't injure myself. Practice tilting your hips forward so your back doesn't arch so much.

A healthy back has that arch in it. You should be able to place your hand in the small of your back before you lay down flat. There are arches caused by scoliosis, but they are usually farther up and go side to side instead of front to back.

I've had that problem. Still do, but not as much.

It's called lordosis. You should do TONS of abdominal work to lessen the arch in your back and strech the psoas.

But don't just take my word, go see a doctor and let him be the one to tell you what you should do.
