Let me rephrase since the last question got so much abuse about my fat you know what and looking for a cheap doctor. I am not fat or looking for a cheap doctor. Just investigating ways to look better. I have done some research and heard that some areas of the country (and even other countries) are cheaper than others. I'm wondering if anyone out there really knows if this is true and if so which cities are known for having cheapER cosmetic surgeries?

When comparing prices to other parts of the country, remember to factor in airfare, hotel, meals, cab or rentals cars, etc.

Surgery is not something to skimp on. What are you going to do with the money you save if you are dead? Don't take this decision lightly. Any surgery has risks and liposuction is far from low-risk, especially if you are heavy or unhealthy in some way. Not just risk of death from anesthesia, but from infections. When your skin is broken and your body opened up and air and instruments are introduced into the sterile environment of your body you put yourself at risk for infection that could form a blood clot and kill you. This happens to people all of the time and is one of the most common ways to die. Anyway... if you find a cheap doctor, he/she may not be the best... not just in that they might screw up the procedure and make you look worse than you are or kill you, but he/she might also put you at a high risk for post-surgical infections that could kill you.

Dish out the extra cash to find an expert, one who has a low incidence of complications or infections (and death of course). Do your research and seriously don't skimp on something that affects your ability to continue living.

Liposuction surgery is very safe nowadays. My cousin got her breast reduction, tummy tuck and facelift surgery in India by the company called Forerunners Healthcare .The Price for the surgery she paid in India was very less. She paid 30% of the cost she was quoted in America.

Forerunners Healthcare is very famous in India. They arrange cosmetic and plastic surgery for foreigners in India. I read a lot about them in the Newspapers and about their patient stories. They arrange financing for USA, Canadian, UK and other international patients who plan to have surgery abroad for low price, as the breast reduction, tummy tuck, facelift and other cosmetic surgery is not covered by insurance. They also have photos pasted of their International patients. You can checkout their website. There are huge cost savings. As a doctor I personally believe that surgery can be easily handled in India, as the quality of healthcare available In India is simply best in the world. The surgeons are USA/UK trained and facilities are 5 star.

Hope this helps.
