Bob....good question. I have seen TV commercials about these FREE dating sites. And figured they made their money not from the $50 fee they always say they will waive for their compatibility test but from the advertisers on their websites. I have never accessed one of these sites but it wouldn't surprise me if they did start asking for credit card information.

Of course speaking of deception.... My favoite dating services are the ones on the late TV commercials that always show beautiful 18 to 25 year old women with phones in their hands just waiting for you to call them. And many of there are FREE 800 numbers. I had seen the commercials offering numbers to call that charged $2 to $4 per minute to talk with hot women and wondered how these free get a date numbers worked. One night a friend (female friend by the way) called one of there free 800 #'s.

We discovered that when called, a sexy voice starting talking and after about 30 seconds she told or directed you to call a non-800 number and have your credit card ready if you wanted to continue the conversation. My friend and I decided not to waste even a $1.99 for a single minute speaking with what was pobably a 60 year old woman (nothing wrong with a 60 year old woman talking about sex on the phone!) pretending to be some hot 22 year old that would keep you on the phone as long as possible.

But hey..no doubt some people find their sould mates, life partners....using these dating services.

Of course they lie and have fake messages to make you think people are interested. That's how they get you to keep subscribing. If you choose to subscribe to one of these sites you must be very selective of the people you contact.

Yes a lot of them lie.
Some of them have attractive women contact you just so you'll pay to respond back to her.

You forgot the hyphen between "non" and "existent".

Guess you could say it was non-existent.

Can't comment on the dating site thang, I'm non-existent on those sites. Altho it is possible that their morals are non-existent.

Wishing you a non-existent single life, and non-existent bad luck!! ;)

1. Sometimes. There are some honest ones. If it's advertised as free, and they start asking for card details, leave; it's not honest.

2. Duh.
