Why do you think so few people know etiquette today?
What topics might be included in a course on etiquette?

Not too many people are into etiquette these days, in part because no one took the time to teach them and/or spark their interest in it. Modern day etiquette courses will definitely have to address the idea of wanting to learn basic manners, for starters- otherwise nothing will be accomplished. After that is tackled, the most practical thing to teach would be the golden rule- treat others as you would like to be treated.

Because the parents don't teach the kids anything today, let alone proper etiquette !

Becasue they weren't raised with it! I think that table manners or lack of them is my biggest pet peeve.

phone manners would be good, especially when NOT to have your cell phone on...
