Most insurances won't cover pre-existing conditions. I know this first hand. And to the twit that said to go on medicaid because it free... It isn't. The taxpayers pay for it. This attitude drives me crazy! Good Luck.

I would hit up medicaid, it is based on your income so if you make too much you won't be eligible. After that, you can try the big companies (Blue Cross, Aetna, United) and see if they have private pay stuff. Do you get insurance through your employer? After THAT, if none of those work, call your local health department and see what they can provide you with. Good luck!

Your best bet is if you qualify for Medicaid. They have special income amounts for expecting mothers. Most health insurance will not cover your pregnancy if you do not have before you are pregnant. Some you have to have 1 year before it covers you.

Gerber has a good insurance plan. Your Job should have a few options fro new mother plans. Shop around before you buy. It depends on what you are looking for. Try gerber for the baby and something different for you.

You would need to look around your area to find what would be best.
Another thing, not all pregnant women can get Medicaid. You have to be approved for it. You need to be on a certain income level. So, not EVERY pregnant women can get it.
But you would be able to call around your area and find what would be best for you and the baby.
