I process my hair a lot...coloring and relaxing...so it gets really dry. I use a mask on my hair from Sallys Beauty Supply called Rx Professional Prescription pH Balanced Formula Conditioning Treatment. If you use this once a week for four weeks or more, your hair will be really soft and silky. This works great for anyone's hair type.
Also, try to use the least amount of heat as necessary on your hair, and less harsh products on your hair. Gel and hairspray damage your hair and make it less manageable, even after you wash it out.

I've heard if you put mayonnaise in your hair it works as a really good moisturizer...even though it sounds gross apparently it works. but i have never tried it, i read it in a magazine a while ago. also beer supposedly works too lol
or you could always go to a salon and ask for some tricks or products that work well.
