do you really like her now cus shes not ur girl though? What is so different now than it was when the two of you were together is more the questions I would be asking myself if I were you. If you are determined to get back with her then it really depends on your age. If you have any form of income then it is a no brain-er. Send her some flowers with a message: something like "Only time can tell, and it has told me that I miss you, I need you." If your younger than this then just write her an email or a letter, poem. Drop hints to her friends that you really would like to be her boyfriend again. It is the safest way. If you make it clear to one of her friends. You and I both know her friend will tell her. Then it will build a bridge. Hope this helps.
