I am seriously thinking about putting either a 4" or a 6" lift on my 97 F-250 4X4. What is a good way to go? I want to raise it up some, but I do NOT want it to look like some dips*it high school kid owns it! It needs to be functional for a gooseneck trailer afterwards. I also don't want to have to put 10K into parts like new drivelines, etc.

The local professional shop want $1700 'out the door' for the 4". Is this reasonable?

Other info/input is appreciated,

Thx.

Anyone have any ideas or experience in this area?

as you stated...you dont want to add more money than needed...stick with the 4" that way you dont have to pay for new drive lines and brake lines etc....plus you can still tow gooseneck without having to buy a new hitch.
