Although the accident is not my fault I was making a left at the advanced flashing green light; and I was no longer in the intersection when the other driver jump the green light and rear ended my vehicle. Now apparently if you make any left and there is an accident you are at fault but..I'm waiting to hear back from insurance to find out whether they will go 50/50 with me or I take a loss. The damages are $2500 and labour $3200. I cant afford this and I wanted to sell my vehicle as is but I dont know where to start.

I don't understand. If you were no longer in the intersection, you were no longer turning left. If you were rear ended, it would be the other parties fault. What does the police report say?

Get an estimate of the cost for repairing your vehicle, contact the person at fault that hit you and ask him or her for that amount of money. Then have your car fixed. No problem. If they won't pay, ask your insurance for help in collecting from their insurance.

I'm not sure if I understand what you said about who's fault it is. If you do not have the collision coverage and have an accident, the party at fault pays for the damage of both cars. Meaning....

If it was your fault, you pay or your insurance's COLLISION coverage will pay.
If it was the other drivers fault, he or his LIABILITY insurance coverage will pay.

What does the police report say? It usually says who the at-fault party is.

I advise AGAINST selling your damaged vehicle before the insurance adjuster looks at it and give you an appraisal. (assuming it was the other party's fault).

If the damage is near or above the current value of the car, about the only thing you can do is to let the junk yard take the car. If the other party was uninsured, you are out of luck.

I have a ninety 2 Honda Accord which I nonetheless carry complete insurance and the optimal criminal duty on even though it fairly is as a results of my interest and that i have tocontinual my vehcle each and each and every of the time. If i replaced into to get a "artwork" motor vehicle, i'd drop the honda to criminal duty really, because it would fee extra to fix it than replace it or what ever. I had a 87 Monte Carlo SS. really carried criminal duty, were given hit head on through a inebriated, really 3000 funds damage, I drove living house, yet they totalled it, because the motor vehicle isn't well worth the fee of changing. So, in case you imagine that it does not be fixable as a results of age, drop the full insurance, they gained't pay for it any way.yet carry a severe criminal duty, only to be danger-free.

I was always under the impression if rear ended the other driver pays for the collision
or at least the deductible

With no collision.. I think you might be out of luck on getting any $ from a settlement

as for selling the car- list it on local craigslist.org
with pictures and details on whats wrong with it

maybe you can get a junkyard to buy it from you for parts

That just happened to me and I had the car up for sale just like you. They wouldn't fix my car and I only got what it was worth and it wasn't my fault either. They totaled out my car.
