I just started taking Celexa (20mg) and I like to smoke a small amount of marijuana at night before I go to bed. Will that hinder the progress of my antidepressants?

yes it does add to depression after prolonged use but you have to weigh the benefits against the very slight depression. did you ever look at the side effects of celexa provided by your pharmacy? this would give a six of one half a dozen of the other outlook on this .. also; don't believe all the govt. bullshit about pot.

It most certainly will. Marijuana is a proven DEPRESSANT. It messes with the neurochemicals already screwed up in your brain. Do yourself a favor and give it up. It will likely take the Celexa, twice as long to benefit you as it ordinarily would if you have been smoking that stuff for long.

You need antidepressants because you smoke pot. Try doing crank.
