I have to come up with a "constructive" game that will keep them occupied for 30 mins, its a ridiculous situation where the adult leaders go off and talk while me and 2 other teenagers are supposed to entertain them and if we don't come up with a "constructive" enough game we get told to think of something else, I'M PULLING MY HAIR OUT EVERY WEEK trying to think of games, any ideas!?!?!? ( the adult leaders already told us that we've been playing 'duck-duck goose, and 'red light green light' to much so those are out... if anyone has ideas or knows of websites I can go to it would be great

How about the freeze game? Put on music and have them all dance around and when the music stops they have to "freeze" with it.

How about reading a book or two, having a picture scavenger hunt (you hang up pics of things and they have to find them around the room). Go to perpetualpreschool.com for some ideas on games... they have tons of stuff to do. Why is it that three teenagers are watching 16 toddlers? Just my opinion... I have been working with 2-3 year olds for 14 years as a preschool teacher, and that many two year olds is a lot!! You couldn't possibly keep them all contained and interested in one game for 30 minutes... you need to bring some alternative toys, puzzles, playdough, craft items, etc with you to keep them entertained and busy. Good luck!

If you are able to be outside...
You can fill buckets with about 3 inches of water and get large paint brushes. They can "paint the playground".
Music instruments and singing group/circle. Include some dancing.
Get some shaving cream or foam soap and spray it onto a table, put large t-shirts over the kids and let them go to town with playing in it.

I understand. I was a 3 yr old teacher for a while. Putting on some music and giving them some instruments is fun. Also try doing fingerplays or singing some songs.

these look like a lot of fun. I don't know if they will consume the amount of time you need, though.
