I once told her that i prefer to talk in person and not on the phone cuz i cant comfort her on the phone when she is upset. Now its gotten to the point where she has me call and leave her messages about how im doing and how i love her all the time. Is this a bad thing?

Seems a little weird and demanding. I think one call a day is more than enough. How often does she need comforting? 2-3 times a day? She must be about 16 years old.

YES! You need to be aloud to have your own life. I understand it could be an act of love, but it could also be an act of jealousy. Tell her that you'll call her at night, before bed that gives you time to talk and FREEDOM during the day. I'm not saying go cheat on her, just dint call her every 10 seconds like she's your mother. That's what I see as being clingy. It seems as if she's insecure and is letting it get in the way of your relationship. If she's constantly wanting to know where you are as well that's a red flag. That would signal she might be controlling. If you think what she wants is too demanding and clingy then tell her and compromise on something like you'll call her once a day or something like that.

Not at all as long as you don't mind being given 23 1/2 minutes to get home from work each day, after you marry her. Sounds like she has trust issues...and with marriage will only get worse. You will be accounting for every moment of every day. Are you willing to live that way for her? Are you willing to live that way for anyone?
Time to move on my friend unless she can change her controlling/needy ways, which I doubt

hahah! oh man the girl ive been seeing for 14 months was like that in the beginning. and u know what, ive told her that too. i hate talking on the phone with her id rather be with her physically.
if u do it, your whipped. but im not judging u. theres really no way out of it lol. u could just stop calling her. it seems like shes like mine, LOVES attention from her man. if u stop giving it to her in small doses i bet u could get off the hook

It could be. The most prevalent possibility is that she is insecure about your relationship. the fact that she needs constant verification of your love for her is not a good sign. I really don't know what to say except to watch your actions and what you say so she doesn't think the worst of you.

I would say she is a many things.. either insecure about herself and the relationship, or she just doesnt trust you!! either way girl has baggage and will continue to controll you and keep the leash on you short till you put her in her place!!

I went through this! and let me tell you, it can get ugly. Either she's not trusting you too much or she's very insecure and thinks you're cheating on her every waking moment of the day. Nip it in the bud man, nip it in the bud.
