check www.tsa.gov. You can take 3 oz liquids in a quart size zip-lock bag. Small tools and blunt scissors are allowed, as are razors. I never check luggage if I can help it so everything you could need can be carried on.

They were not allowing any liquids in August, but they have relaxed some. Call the airline and ask what is allowed.
