Its fine. My son is 3'11 and is 5 super tall biggest in his class, but my nephew who is 8 is only 4'1. You can compare his height to other 6 year olds by getting a percentile for him (ie 55% means he is taller than 54 kids out of 100 his exact age) as long as he is still growing reg. I wouldnt worry. I left a link if you would like the percentile for him, its for kids age 2-20.

My 8 almost 9 year old is just over 4 feet tall. I am 5'10 and his father is 6'3. His younger brother, who is 3 years younger is only about 4 inches shorter then he. They are the height they are.

He is fine. My son has always been taller than most. Im 5'9 and my husband is 6'3. It just all depends. Kids are all different sizes.

That's perfectly normal. All kids are shorter than most at one point or another. It's just a matter of if they've had more or less growth spurts than usual.
