just be sure that you really get to know him well and make sure you are both on the same page in terms of wants and needs, goals, life priorities, etc.. and always be sure to consider the best interest of the kid in everything that happens..

I don't think age counts, if you really love this guy there shouldn't be any problem. My aunt and uncle are 10 years apart, and they've been married for like 20 years and still going.
