I had that after I got the cast off from a broken leg.

It has to do with a major nerve that runs down the length of your leg all the way to your big toe.

I had to go to a specialist who did all kinds of nerve tests to see what was damaged and the connectivity of the nerve - electrical impulses and stuff like that. Luckily it was just pinched but it took months to work again and lots of physical therapy.

Please see your doctor and soon!

Foot drop generally implies permanent injury to a nerve although it is possible that some recovery may take place with rehabilitation if the nerve injury is relatively recent. There is no medication for foot drop unless spasticity occurs. There is no surgery so it is neither optional nor mandatory. Unless it is of recent onset and due to a known injury it is likely permanent in which case an ankle splint may help.

you need to go to the Dr. you could have something wrong with your nerves. That happened to my mom and she had a blown disc in her back. Major surgery.
