I work in an assisted living facility where the physical therapists use just the thing you describe. It's a small frame with a set of pedals that you can adjust the tension on. I'm sure if you checked your local medical supply store (The type that caters to the elderly.) you would find one. If that does not work, call a local ALF or nursing home and ask to speak with one of the physical therapists. I'm sure they would be glad to help.

Yeah - I just saw one in the JcPenney Catalog....it has two types of pedals to swap out, one for feet, one for hands to work upper body.

i roll my ankles around in circles then i do it the opposite way..i bend my feet back and forwards and hold for a few seconds to stretch my calf muscles

yeah they sell those little bicycle things and the stair stepper things at wal-mart that fit perfectly under a desk...
