I'm the mother of 10 month old twins.

-Definately get two different gifts. They are two seperate people and should be treated as such.

-I also appreciate it when people give my babies two seperate cards. This helps because I keep seperate scrapbooks/memory boxes for them. When it's one card for both I never know what to do with it.

-I would recommend that it not be the same gift, especially if it's a toy. Two of every toy would make me scream. :-) You can always do similar gifts such as give them both books by the same author but different titles.

-The early birthdays are so hard. You could give them some sort of nice keepsake from Things Remembered. When I was in there a few weeks ago they had a buy one get one half off sale going on. I always feel like my kids have too many toys. Clothes are usually a good gift, espeically if it's something they can grow into.

-My favorite gift so far has been personalized piggy banks. Each baby had a different color one but both had their names and birthdates on them.

Hope this helps!

I would recommend two of the same item, one for each of them. They will be getting to the age of wanting the same thing as each other soon, and will fight over anything there is one of. I also recommend two gifts because they are two individual people. People (including the parents) tend to treat twins as one- which makes it hard for them to develop individual identities. They are two separate people, so two separate gifts is appropriate. Look in the toddler aisle at somewhere like Walmart for all kinds of ideas... my little one loved the Fisher-Price Little People sets- they are chunky enough for little hands to hold, and have all kinds of themes.

two seperate gifts would be best as each child is an individual even though they live in the same house and share the same birthday. Boy - different types of tonka trucks
Girls - baby dolls

Two children = two presents. Twins shouldn't be short changed. If they are both the same sex, you could do the same gift....(two of them).

Ask their mom what they need. At one, they won't care anyway.

I would get them two small gift- and NOT the same thing. I would just go to the toy dept and find two within your price range that you like!

Get them that Drop n Roll Dinosaur by Fisher Price. That way they can play with it together and you only have to buy and wrap one gift. Also it will grow with them and they can later get the other toys they make for the peek a blocks.
