Use over the counter athlete's foot cream just as you would for athlete's foot (follow directions on box). Ringworm is caused by a fungus in the same fungus family. If this is an infant consult a physician for treatment.

If you don't want the expense of a doctor's visit, go to your local drugstore. They have several anti-fungal creams and lotions. However, if the ringworm infestation is on the scalp, I would advise seeing the doctor.
A couple of years ago, my small town had a mini ringworm epidemic. The most inexpensive and effective product I found was an antifungal ointment called Aloe Vesta. When, because of the outbreak, my local drugstore doubled the price of all the antifungals, I was also able to purchase it on line. Some sites I visited at that time also advised that you steam clean all carpets and upholstery in your home to help prevent reinfection. They also said to vacuum carpets and upholstery daily, discarding the vacuum bag each time. As it happened, I didn't find such stringent measures necessary, but it's something to keep in mind.
If the infestation came from an animal in your home, do treat it to stop it at the source; you can treat it with the same product. The stuff my vet was giving me was more expensive and less effective. It wasn't even an anti-fungal. Your vet may have something better, though.

use althletes foot spray or cream....I have had better luck with the spray.....just spray it on several times a day and it should start to shrink and go away...takes about 2 weeks....do not pick at the small blister cause you can transfer the ringworm to other locations....so just leave it alone and use the spray. Make sure you wash your hands frequently if you have touched the ringworm.

my son had this last summer. see your doctor. he will prescribe a ointment for it, and usually tell you to cover the affected area with dandruff shampoo for 30 minutes after washing the area well. Ringworm is a fungus, and not actually a worm.

For ring worms all you have to do is pour some bleach on it. It may sound funny but trust me it will help and work.
