Christ man you sound pretty immature for a fella who is 40 years old. It's a number man, inform this lady of your age and if she has a problem with it I'm sure that she'll let you know.

It's only a big deal if it bothers you (and her). You should probably tell her your age sooner rather than later if you think it is leading somewhere. I've dated women as much as 15 years younger than me (10 years younger than me on average when I was in my 30s) and currently dating a woman 5 years older than me. I don't care what anybody but the woman in question thinks about an age difference. (I too look about 10 years younger than my age).

Age is but a number, trust is worth everything. The sooner you tell her the more likely she'll take it without a problem. Even though you've never lied a woman can sometimes fell like omission of a fact is a lie. Tell her the truth, if she can't handle a simple age difference shes not worth your time. Good Luck.

You're making a bigger deal of this than you should. If the subject of age comes up, simply tell her. It doesn't change who you are, and if it really does matter to her, wouldn't you rather know now before you invest much more time and energy in a relationship with her?

Tell her, women are not as hooked on age differences as men. If you look good for your age be proud of it. Besides if you keep lying about this and she finds out from someone else she wont trust you anymore. Basically women think if you lie about one thing what else have you lied about. The drama later is not worth it. She wont care about you age, she likes you!

I don't think that your age difference is such a big deal, after all, you're both fully mature adults. My husband is 6 and a half years older than me and it makes no difference to either of us. My sister's husband is 10 years older than she is and they seem happy.

Absolutely you must tell her. I am 13 years younger then my significant other and it works awesome. He keeps me grounded and I add spunk to our relationship. Your only as old as you feel. Anyways why would you want her to be interested in you when your not being the true you. Good Luck!

I would be honest with her as soon as possible, I am 42 and my wife is 26, all of our friends ask her when will I grow up, Jokingly of course.
I am very young for my age, and my wife is very mature.
We have an awesome relationship.
If your friends cannot deal with it they were not friends anyway.

It's not the age that's going to be disappointing, it's the lying and manipulating her feelings on false pretenses. If age bothers you so much, find someone closer to your own age.

At your ages a ten yr gap is fine, I would just tell her soon though, because it is not fair to keep secrets if you want to develop a relationship with her
