check your local beauty shops and see if they donate to Locks of Love......there should be several that do.....just get your yellow pages and start calling the numbers for beauty shops and ask them. When you find one then you can make an appointment and have them prepare your hair and send it to the organization.

Call around and ask salon's. I know that Cost Cutters & Hair Cuttery does it. They'll cut your hair, save it in a bag or envelope, and then mail it off to be made into a wig for cancer patients. But you need to have at least 6" cut in order for it to be donated.

Locks of Love does not do wigs for cancer. The do wigs for childen with a condition called alopecia. I know there is an organization out there for cancer but can not remember the name.

most hair salons will donate to "Locks for Love" if you just ask. Locks for Love is for kids who have lost their hair due to cancer. My daughter has donated twice.

My little girl donated her locks to Locks of Love. They sent her an email and a postcard thanking her. It was pretty neat of them to do that for her. I think it was nice of her to donate her hair too. She is only 6. She was pretty excited to help! Good luck to you, and I'm glad you are considering this!
