When you laugh your cheek muscles tense up. The duct from the parotid gland actually passes through that muscle. When the muscle tenses up, the flow of saliva is blocked so it accumulates in the gland. As the pressure builds up, it starts to hurt. If you can take five seconds to pause from laughing and just rub your cheeks a bit, it should feel a lot better very quickly. (This is the same gland that gets swollen when you have the mumps, just to help you realize where it is located.)

Yes, but it's always my stomach that hurts, never the jaws. You must laugh like you're trying to eat an apple in one fell swoop. Hahah

Doesn't sound serious at all, in fact most of us I'm sure wouldn't mind having this so called problem. If you stop laughing then I'd worry.

happens to me all the time......the pain is just from your jaw muscles tensing up and staying tensed up too long......

yeah happend to me, its because you open your mouth too wide when laughing and muscles tensing
