She was looking at it the other night and asked me about it. I believe in being honest and all that but it's from a long time ago; is this stuff really important in the now?

well it may seem little or not important to you but if shes really into you then she is going to want to know everything...even about your crazy stories. If she cant accept that it was a long time ago, then shes got a problem.

If she asked, why not tell? You can't really hide it physically. The past isn't necessarily important in the present, but being honest is. She will be more hurt that you want to keep it from her, rather than just being honest. And you're with her now, so there is nothing for her to worry about.

If its from a long time ago, why are you afraid to tell her? You're different now and the scar is a part of your history. It also helped to shape the person you are now and you should tell her about it. Women are curious and they want to know. My current bf told me about how he shot at people and was shot at and pushed weight in his past. It threw me for a minute, but it didn't change how I felt about him. He's at a different point in his life and so are you.

Honesty is always the best policy even if you are uncomfortable telling her what happened. If you are not comfortable now, wait a while. If she asks again, tell her. If its someone you really care about and she cares about you, then what does it matter?

Well it depends on how you got it. But I see your point, it would be a lot easier to talk about such a wound it if were in the front rather than the back.

It being important isn't really the point; she asked so she obviously wants to know! Whether or not it is important, is beside the point...inquiring minds want to know...you know??

She's gonna know eventually, right?

What's the harm in telling her about a scar?

Were you in a gang or something? Is that why you're hesitant about telling her?

If it is the past tell her.. She should know.. If she dumps you it was not ment to be.. Your girlfriend should respect your past.. Everyone has a bad past.. So tell her.. Dont hide things form her.. No one wants a man who is not honest.

Just be honest about it. It happened, there's nothing you can do about it. I would want to know the truth.
