Products in slightly dented cans can be consumed as long as there are no leaks and the product appears wholesome. Do not consume products from severely dented, leaking, or swollen cans or jars.
Do not eat canned foods from rusty or swollen cans.

I bought some tomato paste that was dented and did not see and when I opened it it has mold in it where the dent was. So i do not use dented cans anymore.

Yes, as long as the can doesnt have any holes in it or hasnt been previously opened. If theyre dented it just means they got dropped or were tossed around during shipping. There is nothing wrong with the food in them.

Food from dented cans is OK but not from bulged, leaking, or cans that have been pierced or rusted through in any way otherwise you could wind up with botulism poisoning.

If there are only dents in the can then of course you can, it would be just like a regular can, except, for, well the dents.

I caught the dentitous one time from damaged cans. When I would do a bowel movement my stuff was all dented. I would say no. I have to live with that the rest of my life!

Dented cans are alright. You never want to eat from cans that are bulging. That is where your botulism comes from.

Thats how food becoms tainted and botulism becomes a problem. You do NOT want that illness. It can be deadly, so I would say discard the items.

If something is questionable, its always better to be safe than sorry.

It can be dangerous. The seal could be slightly broken, even my micro millimeters, allowing harmful gases and toxins to build up inside the can.
