A friend bought a .300 WSM, He really likes it.
Everything I read is good, the ballastic charts are impressive, so I am thinking of buying a couple different calibers in WSM's. Has anyone heard anything negative about the WSM's or had a bad experience?

The votes are in. sounds like no one fairly likes the so-referred to as short magnum rifle calibers. And who can blame them? the place is the will for a short magnum? The 3 hundred Win magazine and 3 hundred Wby magazine have been doing a great interest for some years. Why attempt to reinvent the wheel? the clicking on the quick magnums somehoe brags approximately how they are able to be chambered into short movements. So what? I recommend, what's the actual distinction interior the bolt length? possibly a million.5 inches? Who cares? human beings state that those weapons could nicely be "cycled speedier". Hugh? How plenty beyond huge-unfold time does it take to flow the bolt of a rifle one greater inch and a a million/2? no longer even a 10th of a 2d. Sorry, yet I see no reason to apply any of those new cartridges. greater useful off going with the oftentimes happening 3 hundred Win magazine or the lesser oftentimes happening (yet nevertheless my well known) 3 hundred Wby magazine..

It seems like an excuse to sell a new rifle to me. It's exactly the same as a 300 Win Mag. except they make the cartridge smaller.
