I think science clearly show in improbability of spontaneous life emerging due to some natural means. If indeed you are doing a paper on the subject I can send you the full scientific evidence I have that confirms that statement. I am open to email from answers... Jim

Well as we have zero proof of God making us, let us also play *ULTRA* fair and say we have no proof of evolution.
What can we observe and test objectively and fairly?
Human spines are NOT ideally suited for vertical walking, they ARE far more adept at "all-fours" use. This WOULD make sense from an evolution point - it would be an illogical design flaw for a God to make - basic engineering would have made him re-think this bit.
We have vestigial body parts - the remains of a tail - the coccyx for example. Our nearest equivalents genetically also have tails. This would make sense from an evolutionary point of view. It would be curious for God to think "well let's not have tails on the MK 18 animal (us), but I'll just add a few bits that make it look as though I was *going* to add one - and then got distracted a bit"
I think the balance of probabilty suggests evolution - unless we are to assume that God made some really poor design choices along the way.

The body of man could have evolved from lower animal life-forms, but his immortal soul had to have been created directly by God, being of a spiritual nature.
But concerning evolution, if it happened, it could have happened in two possible ways.
(1) Front Loaded, where God initially created, and then programmed the system to evolve after that, so that everything that emerged, emerged in accordance with the program.
(2) Continuously Guided, where God's power continually guides the evolutionary process, bringing forth what He wishes in the way of life-forms.

Evolution. There is solid evidence of it. Stage by stage. Step by step. It's clear. It's rational. Even the creationists favourite argument 'If we evolved from apes, how come there are still apes?'. If they took their heads out of their bums for a second, there's a reason for that too. But why educate themselves when they could read a cute little fairy story all about Holy Spirits and angels and miracles?

Actually - we're a child's science experiment in a giant terrarium. Or maybe we were genetically engineered by aliens. I like that scenario - it's kinda fun.
Seriously though - I believe in evolution. Why? Fossils.

creation. evolution makes no sense what so ever. basically, they are saying, nothing came together to form nothing and nothing squeezed together and wah lah! the universe! the sad thing is people dont realize that Dalton repented of thinking this up before he died and yet people still believe it.

Creation.
Gen 26: And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.
27: So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.
Those are the facts.
