yes. old people should be able to drive as long as they want to if they can see. Immigrants don't need to read English to drive. FYI- Most immigrants are from Mexico, they drive on the same side of the road as we do, know what a stop sign looks like, a yeild sign... ect. and btw, Most people who speak spanish can read english, they just can't write it.

I'm assuming you mean legal immigrants, since you didn't specify otherwise. And yes, they should be allowed to if they pass the test.
As for the old people: They should be allowed if they still can. It should be mandatory to re-take your driver's test at some point in your life, and all driver's tests should be much harder than they already are. There are so many horrible drivers out there, and the test is sooo easy in some areas. I remember mine literally took all of five minutes, and he only made me drive about 100 feet! That's not a real test as far as I'm concerned.

Being old doesn't make you an unsafe driver. So yes old people should be able to drive.
Being an immigrant means you are legal in the United states and if they have a drivers license yes they should be able to drive.
Being an ILLEGAL ALIEN means that person doesn't belong in the United States and does not deserve the right to drive but does deserve to be DEPORTED.

Hey......don't even put old people in with immigrants first off. Illegal immigrants should not be able to drive at all. Legal immigrants should if they can pass the tests. Elderly people should drive as long as they can pass the tests as well.

Should idiots be allowed to post at Yahoo Answers?
P.S. It's young males between the ages of 18-25 that cause most of the accidents on the roads, so should they be allowed to drive?

It's illegal to discriminate against people on account of age. Until they prove themselves incompetent to drive. (In England you have to take a new test at age 72 or so; that wouldn't be legal in the USA.)
As for immigrants: they can drive on their home license for up to a year depending on the state. Foreign tourists can rent cars and drive anywhere.
The problem is undocumented aliens, after a year (shorter periods in some states, if resident there). Their insurance is void. So YOU pay the price, not them. http://snurl.com/uninsuredalien

Elderly who can still safely handle a vehicle should, as well as legal immigrants who can do the same. Illegal immigrants get their own driver(or pilot), who drives them right back to their original country.
