Our state supplied the hepatitis vaccine free to all high school students with parental consent. It is the best way to reach the at risk population. The the HPV vaccine to be effective it needs to be given to girls before they become sexually active - that means before Jr. High. So how many parents of 11-12 year old girls would be willing to say OK to that? I still think it should be free. Educating parents is another thing.

The Gov. is funding VIAGRA, why should they not be funding the Cervical Cancer Vaccine. It's about the same game.

Yes, because hundreds of thousands of women could be saved a year. The government sponsors AIDS research; same thing.
