My hair feels like straw now after bleaching it twice (from black, to very pale blonde) hating it and dying it back brown----but accidentally turning it black, because its so poreous.

I know this was all very stupid of me---especially seeing as I did this all in a matter of one-two months----but the mistakes have already been made, so I just need to know what to do from here.

I'm leaving my hair this black--darkest brown color for now (my roots will come in dark blonde so I'll just maintain the roots) so that i don't further damage it. I plan to keep it this dark at least until my hair is back to great health.

But right now-----its a disaster. I'm already deep contioning and trying to tone down on my usage of the straightening iron. Is there anything else I can do? I'm willing to shovel out big bucks, or do stupid things like put mayonnaise in it. (but i hear mayonnaise only coats your hair, rather than treating your hair.)

I had my hair colored a lot and then highlighted to blonde again. My favorite product is a spray on- leave in conditioner by Miessence. It's called Protect B5 Hair Repair. It's made my hair soft again. The B5 and other natural products in it actually help repair the hair. Bonus... it's not greasy and the bottle lasts quite a while!

Your poor hair. As I always tell people, amateurs should never think they can use bleach at home. It always ends in tears.

Fixing it the fastest would be shaving off the horrible, damaged hair you have now and starting again. However I'm almost certain you're not too keen on that.

I recommend you continue deep conditioning (buy some hot oil rather than mayo, which only coats your hair instead of permeating the actual strands). I also recommed you see a qualified hair stylist and ask their opinion. They do have special dyes that hydrate, and they'll probably recommend their own deep hair treatments.

I recommend if you're willing to shell out big bucks, NOT doing anything at home to your own hair and seeing a hairdresser from now on is the best solution.

There's probably no real way to fix-fix your hair, but you could just try deep conditioning treatments for the day to day. Trim off as much as you're willing so you can get some fresher tips (it'll help your hair look smoother when you straighten it). Avoid blowdrying and excessive brushing.

You might want to invest in purchasing an expensive hair iron with blueplates to avoid further damage (my roommate uses HAI -- it's great) and a bottle of Biosilk. The blueplates are supposed to be more protective than ceramics, and the Biosilk will help protect your hair from further heat damage as well. It'll help you deal, but it wont fix anything -- you'll just have to wait it out.

Hope all goes well :)

I know it will be a few months of pain, but it will be a nice reward in the end. As for now don't forget to get a trim every 4weeks, & try to maybe get some colour (go to a pro) like lowlights just to the new growth so it all blends, so you don't look too dramatic! Also try to(this is a bit gross) not wash your hair everyday, your natural oils help alot, if you straighten it put it in a bun before bed, gives you nice waves in the morning, if it is curly (samy products are awesome) just keep up with deep conditioning!

If you want hair to grow faster or more healthy, you have to take supplements that work on your body chemistry to support hair's growth and strength at its genesis.....once it has grown out, it is just dead keratin
Try GNC, they make a supplement called " Ultra Nourishair" in formulas for men and women..they are HUGE pills and you have to take 2 daily. There is also a "Hair skin and nails" formula from Andrew Lessman that you can google, that has great ingredients and is easier to swallow, made by ProCaps labs. You can also take large doses of Biotin, sometimes called Vitamin H, take no less than 2500 micrograms daily to support healthy hair growth. It may take 6 to 8 weeks to see results.
have taken the GNC pills for 4 months and supplemented them with extra Biotin because they only have 1200 mcg of Biotin and you should try for a minimum of 2500 micrograms.

I am switching to Procaps labs capsules when I run out of the GNC because Procaps formula has more Biotin in a more pure form with more of the trace elements that support healthy hair growth.

I take about 5000 micrograms which equals 5 milligrams of Biotin daily and my hair is growing fast and thick and dark.

I had that experience before, but I am avoiding bleaching my hair now coz it really hurts the hair permanantly. Ok, the thing (this is going to sound disappointing) is when you blench your hair, it kinda damages the hair permanently, you can add moisture and nutrients and stuff to the hair but it will never look the same.

You can do either of the following recipe once to twice per week to add enormous amount of nutrients to your hair 1. Tuscan Protein Pack: http://beauty-tricks.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&Itemid=99999999&id=255

2. South of Shanghai Moisturizing Treatment: http://beauty-tricks.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&Itemid=99999999&id=254

3. Oil or Nothing: http://beauty-tricks.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&Itemid=99999999&id=253

4. Holy Guacamole: http://beauty-tricks.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&Itemid=99999999&id=249

5. Tropical Breeze: http://beauty-tricks.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&Itemid=99999999&id=248

And after you shampoo and condition your hair, dry it a little, put some hair protective OIL/ Vitamin E OIL on the hair, and let it sit dry, avoid anything with heat.

And after your hair grow for some time, cut the bad part out!
