My girlfriend had this same problem. The doctor said it was because of stress. He did a lot of tests, and all of them came back negative. It lasted for about a month and a half. You should still probably go see a doctor though. It could be something like IBS.

Stress can definitely upset your stomach. When I get really, really upset sometimes I throw up. Also just an overal high level of stress gives me heartburn.

Of course it could be lots of other things. Stomach flu, Food Poisoning, etc. I usually just try to see if it will run it course without meds. If it still is upset you might want to slowly reintroduce yourself back into eating.

Try BRAT for 24 hours. Stands for Bread, Rice, Applesauce and Toast. I know its bland but that is the point.

Hope you get better.

Following diarrhea, the bowel is empty, total empty - now the stomach is VERY hungry -- that the tight feeling and the you probably have gas! - EAT you fool. Start with a little RICE and some chicken - eat a banana! Hard Boiled Eggs - take your choice. Following diarrhea you need to be careful what you eat as you can "constipate" yourself - so go slow and hope you feel better tomorrow....

Have you eaten anything since you had diarrhea?

Seriously. It could be that you're hungry.

If you're still feeling uncomfortable, try the B.R.A.T. diet for a day or so. That stands for:

Bananas

Rice

Applesauce

Toast

It'll fill you up without upsetting your stomach.

And drink a lot of water.
